IHG Hotels & Resorts announces five new hotels in France
IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its portfolio of hotels in Coastal France with four new hotel signings and one opening. The collection of five new properties introduces for the first time in the region three brands of IHG, including Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and Hotel Indigo.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President Development Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said:
“The recent wave of new signings and openings in France reflects the cautious optimism we at IHG Hotels & Resorts have for Europe’s recovery. France is a crucial market for us and the focus on its beautiful coastal region is an intentional step to grow our brands out of the cities and hubs, to regional settings where we can provide best-in-class properties for our guests.”
The first one is Holiday Inn Express Arcachon- La Teste located on the shores of Arcachon Bay. The hotel is just 15-minutes away from the Dune of Pilat, resort of Pyla-sur-Mer and beaches. Located in the seaside town of Cagnes-sur-Mer, Hotel Indigo Cagnes-sur-Mer is expected to open from October 2021. The hotel features 87 bedrooms, seven of which are suites. The island’s harbour is just 2.6 km from the hotel, providing links to the south of France and Sardinia.
Staybridge Suites Cannes Centre is set to open in mid-2022 and is located a short walk from Cannes iconic palais des festivals and the croisette. The hotel’s many features include a fitness centre, swimming pool and meeting room. The opening will be the brand’s debut in France. IHG Hotels & Resorts will also expand Crowne Plaza’s presence with the opening of Crowne Plaza Marseille Le Dôme in 2022. The hotel will be situated in Marseille and offer an on-site restaurant, 147-rooms and leisure facilities.
