Driftwood Capital acquired hotel in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

Driftwood Capital has announced that it acquired the Sheraton Old San Juan located in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The property is a 240-room hotel and a 27,50 sq. feet retail complex. The four stars hotel is close to the city's marina and old city center. 

Driftwood will undertake a full-scale renovation of the complex and convert it to a Tribute by Marriott. The hotel will be managed by Driftwood Hospitality Management. The property will feature a new concept for the second-floor restaurant of the hotel, creating a space to attract hotel guests and cruise ship visitors. The restaurant has views of Old San Juan Harbor. 

Sheraton Old San Juan features the main building, which is a nine-story, 180,739-square-foot property with 240 rooms, including 44 suites; 9,113 sq. feet of meeting space with 10 rooms, a rooftop pool, a business center, a fitness center, and two restaurants. In addition, the property includes a two-story retail complex. Some of the complex's tenants include Walgreens, Senor Frogs, Harley Davidson and Nespresso.
