Barcelo Group opens new hotel in Cordoba, Spain
Barceló Hotel Group opened a new hotel of its Royal Hideaway Luxury Hotels & Resorts in Córdoba, Spain. La Bobadilla resort is hidden in the heart of the Sierra de Loja, surrounded by the Mediterranean forest of olive, holm oak and almond trees.
At the beginning of the 80s, Dr. Rolf Egli and Mr. Rudolf Staab acquired a farm, which now thanks to the architect Jesús del Valle is a hidden farmhouse that advocates the Slow Travel philosophy and sustainable luxury. With a territory of 700 hectares, La Bobadilla is designed as a small Andalusian town with a chapel in the center of the square. In 2020, the hotel has received an award as the 'Best Boutique Hotel in Spain' at the World Travel Awards.
The five-star hotel offers 71 rooms and features a 1,500 square meter outdoor pool, surrounded by palm trees and gardens. In addition, there are two restaurants with a focus on Andalusian cuisine. The hotel proposes as well a wide range of activities such as a modern spa, paddle tennis courts and other outdoor sports activities.
